More people are being pushed into homelessness due to the cost of living crisis, a charity says.

* 153 people accessed St Petrocs services in October, a 35% increase from the same month in 2024.
* This is the highest number of people accessing the charity's services in one month.
* The charity has seen a record high of 176 people sleeping rough in September 2025.
* The cost of living crisis and shortage of affordable housing are contributing to the rise in homelessness.
* St Petrocs is rehousing people rapidly between November 2025 and February 2026 due to freezing temperatures.
* Women who sleep on the streets face extreme danger, including risk of violence and rape.
