Fri, 05 Dec 2025 Disruption as flights resume at Edinburgh Airport after outage

Services resumed this morning but there have been knock-on delays, diversions and cancellations to flights.

* 7 flights cancelled: Paris, Bristol, Belfast, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Luton and Belfast City
* 11 planes diverted from landing in Edinburgh
* 15 flights delayed
* Passengers were asked to contact their airlines for the latest information on their flights
* Some passengers reported being stuck in planes on the runway
* Knock-on delays and cancellations to flights in and out of the airport
* IT issue with air traffic control provider Air Navigations Solutions (ANSL) caused the outage
* Investigation underway to identify cause of the issue
* Edinburgh Airport said situation was "fluid" and further disruption possible
