Every day up until Christmas, the Redcar foodbank is asking the community to donate a specific item.
Redcar Area Foodbank is launching a reverse advent calendar to collect donations ahead of Christmas. Each day, the foodbank will reveal on social media which item it needs from the public, including festive treats like custard and cranberry sauce, as well as essentials like socks, scarves, and gloves. The goal is to provide extra support to those struggling financially due to increased heating costs. In addition to food donations, the foodbank is also running a small toy appeal for local families in need.
