The EU regulator had fined the social media platform over its "deceptive" blue tick badges.
* X (formerly Twitter) has blocked the European Commission from making adverts on its platform.
* This comes after the EU fined X €120m (£105m) over its blue tick badges, which the Commission said were "deceptive".
* X's response was that the Commission was trying to "take advantage" of an exploit in their advertising system.
* The European Commission spokesperson denied this, saying they were simply using the tools available on X's platform.
* The fine was the first under the EU's Digital Services Act and is part of a broader dispute between X and global regulators over issues such as misinformation and user safety.
