Former staff at the Grand Theft Auto creator are seeking an employment tribunal over alleged "union-busting".
* 31 staff members were sacked by Rockstar North, the developer behind Grand Theft Auto, in October after allegedly discussing confidential information online.
* The dismissed employees claim they were penalized for discussing working conditions in a private online forum and that their unionization efforts may have been a factor in their dismissal.
* Rockstar North denies that the dismissals were linked to union membership or activities, saying the staff members breached company policy by discussing confidential game features online.
* The Independent Workers' Union of Great Britain (IWGB) has described the mass sacking as "ruthless act of union-busting".
* The sacked employees are now seeking an employment tribunal and may have to wait up to a year for their case to be heard.
* Rockstar North is one of the UK's largest game developers, with its upcoming GTA 6 game expected to be one of the best-selling games of all time when it is released in November 2026.
