The chain, which is backed in part by England captain Ben Stokes, is remaining open for business except at one venue.
Sixes, a cricket-themed social chain backed by England captain Ben Stokes, has entered administration due to a "challenging trading period". The company's 15 UK-based venues remain open, but one location in Southampton has closed and three staff members have lost their jobs. Administrators FRP Advisory are in talks with potential buyers, which could lead to further closures.
Despite entering administration, Sixes says it will honour customer bookings throughout the Christmas period and beyond. The company's parent group, 4Cast, injected cash into the business last year.
According to administrators, Sixes has a core of strong-performing sites but some locations have struggled in an increasingly competitive market. FRP Advisory is working to secure the best outcome for the business while honouring customer bookings.
The hospitality industry has been facing challenges due to higher costs, including business rates and minimum wages, which could lead to job losses and business closures.
