Mon, 05 Jan 2026 New funding launched for low income households

People living in the district can apply for up to £225 of funding in addition to government grants.
Low-income households in Surrey's Tandridge district can now apply for financial support through two separate schemes, one run by Tandridge District Council and another by Surrey County Council. Tandridge's scheme offers grants of £125 for eligible households without children and £225 for those with children. The council will process applications on a first-come-first-served basis until all funds are allocated. Applicants must be aged 16 or over, live in the Tandridge district, and be experiencing financial difficulties. Those who apply for other grants, such as Surrey County Council's e-voucher household support fund, can still receive funding from Tandridge. Unlike Surrey County Council's scheme, which issues vouchers that can only be used at specific supermarkets, Tandridge will deposit cash into applicants' bank accounts to give them greater flexibility in how they use the money.
