The firm plans to deploy the technology at the same plant that was involved in a huge immigration raid in 2025.
* Hyundai Motor Group plans to roll out human-like robots, called Atlas, in its factories from 2028.
* Other companies, including Amazon, Tesla, and BYD, have also announced plans to use humanoid robots in their operations.
* The Atlas robots will be integrated across Hyundai's global network, including a plant in the US state of Georgia.
* The robots are designed to work alongside people and autonomously manage machines, easing physical strain on human workers and handling potentially dangerous tasks.
* Hyundai owns a majority stake in Boston Dynamics, the company behind Spot the robot dog.
* The firm did not provide details on the number of robots or cost of the project.
* Hyundai's vice chair acknowledged concerns about job losses due to automation, but said people will still be needed to train and work alongside the robots.
