The pub and bar group has blamed government policy for its issues as it searches for a buyer.
Revel Collective, owner of 62 pubs and bars across the UK, including Revolucion de Cuba and Peach Pubs, has filed for administration. The move puts around 2,200 jobs at risk as the company struggles with "continued external challenges". Revel Collective, chaired by Luke Johnson, stated that discussions with potential buyers are "well advanced" but have not been enough to prevent the filing for administration. The company claims it is entering administration to protect creditors and has suspended trading on London's AIM stock exchange. The pubs and bars will remain open during the process, which is expected to be completed within 10 days. Shareholders in Revel Collective are set to lose everything as a result of the sale, which could be announced soon.
