The price of the digital currency has dropped significantly despite President Donald Trump’s public support.

* Bitcoin price has fallen to $66,000 (£48,700), its lowest level since October 2024
* Price down 24% since start of year and 32% in last 12 months
* Other popular cryptocurrencies Ethereum and Solana have dropped around 37% so far in 2026
* Market value has lost over $1 trillion in the last month alone and $2 trillion since October peak
* Some analysts predict Bitcoin price may drop as low as $38,000
