Thu, 05 Mar 2026 Electricity, water and sewage prices set to rise

Electricity prices on the Isle of Man will rise by 1.5%, while water and sewage goes up by 2.9%.

* Electricity prices will rise by 1.5%
* Water and sewage prices will rise by 2.9%
* A typical domestic electricity customer using 2,700kWh per year will pay £937, a £14 annual increase
* The increase is due to market prices remaining above pre-crisis levels despite the global energy crisis easing
* Manx Utilities absorbed £40m of exceptional wholesale costs in recent years rather than passing them directly through to bills
* About 75% of natural gas requirements for 2026/27 have been secured through forward-buying to manage risk and smooth fluctuations
