Leo Radvinsky became a billionaire after investing in the site, known for its pornographic content.
Leonid Radvinsky, the owner of adult-content platform OnlyFans, has passed away at 43 after a long battle with cancer. The Ukrainian-born entrepreneur had purchased OnlyFans in 2018 and oversaw its rapid growth during the COVID-19 pandemic, catapulting him to Forbes' list of billionaires. Under his leadership, the site generated $1.4 billion in revenue from over 7 billion transactions and boasted more than 377 million subscribers in 2024.
Radvinsky's ownership was also marked by controversy, with regulators launching an investigation into child access to adult content on the platform. OnlyFans was fined £1 million for failing to provide accurate information about its age verification measures. The company had previously been accused of hosting illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, and faced criticism over its handling of user interactions.
In 2021, OnlyFans announced plans to ban all sexual material from the site but later reversed this decision after facing backlash from users and performers. Radvinsky's philanthropic efforts included donations to cancer research institutions. He had been exploring a sale of OnlyFans before his passing.
