It comes as countries across the region are taking various measures to weather the soaring cost of fuel.
* China reduces planned fuel price hikes by nearly half
* Petrol prices to increase by 1,160 yuan per tonne (down from 2,205 yuan)
* Diesel prices to increase by 1,115 yuan per tonne (down from 2,120 yuan)
* Prices will be implemented starting Tuesday
* Long queues of cars formed outside petrol stations in multiple Chinese cities over the weekend due to fuel shortage
* Over 300 million people in China drive cars that run on petrol or diesel
* Brent crude oil price jumps above $100 a barrel on Tuesday
