Sun, 12 Apr 2026 Tice £91,000 tax row is 'minor administrative error', party claims

A property company owned by the Reform UK deputy leader failed to pay £91,000 in tax on dividends, according to the Sunday Times.
Reform UK deputy leader Richard Tice's property company, Quidnet REIT Limited, failed to pay £91,000 in tax before paying dividends to Tice and his offshore trust. The party claims this was a "minor administrative error" and that HMRC received the correct amount of tax due. Labour has called it a "major scandal" and questioned Tice's integrity and credibility. Tice says the failure to pay tax on time was simply a technicality, and that he ultimately paid the same amount in income tax. Reform UK spokesperson Zia Yusuf agrees it was an administrative error, but added that HMRC would have netted off any underpaid tax from Tice's personal income tax payments. Labour is calling for Tice to explain whether his business followed the law and paid the full tax owed.
