Rolls-Royce has said the project will create 8,000 jobs across Britain.
* Work on a new nuclear power station at Wylfa, Anglesey has been approved by the UK government.
* The project will create 8,000 new jobs and is expected to supply enough electricity to power 3 million homes for over 60 years.
* Three small modular reactors (SMRs) will be built at the site, which are manufactured in a factory before being assembled on-site.
* The project is subject to a final investment decision, which is expected by the turn of the decade and could see the SMRs operational in the 2030s.
* Wylfa's last reactor was closed down in 2015 and the site began decommissioning, but new plans for a replacement plant have been approved after previous proposals were scrapped.
