Sheffield-based PM Law Ltd, which had 25 offices across England, closed suddenly on 2 February.

* An estimated £21m in claims has been made to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) compensation fund so far
* The SRA is investigating "sophisticated suspected fraud" involving the removal and misuse of £39.5m of client funds
* PM Law had specialised in personal injury, wills, and conveyancing cases, with hundreds of clients affected by its sudden closure
* The SRA has paid out £9.31m to 92 former clients from the compensation fund, and returned around 9,300 files to clients
* A further £6.8m was also paid out from money held within the firm at the time of intervention
* South Yorkshire Police is reviewing reports of suspected fraud related to PM Law in collaboration with City of London Police
