James Holder, 54, is accused of raping the woman after a night out in 2022, but denies the charges.
James Holder, co-founder of clothing company Superdry, has been accused of raping a woman after a night out in Cheltenham in 2022. The alleged incident occurred at the woman's home, where Holder had fallen asleep on her bed. Prosecutors claim that when he woke up, Holder forced the woman into having sex with him despite her repeated refusals and attempts to stop him. The court heard that the woman was drunk at the time and felt vulnerable, but she insists that what happened was not consensual. Holder denies charges of rape and assault by penetration, claiming that all sexual activity was consensual.
