Tue, 28 Apr 2026 Cost of living payment date brought forward

The government said payments - normally made in autumn - will be given out in July.
Eligible households will receive a one-off lump sum of £516.50, with automatic payments made to those who have already been confirmed as eligible. Applicants can start applying from 14 July and must meet the following criteria:
* One adult has lived in Jersey for at least five years
* Combined tax liability is less than £2,735 in 2025
* The household is not receiving income support The estimated funding of £2.466m will come from existing Department for Employment, Social Security and Housing budgets.
