Fri, 01 May 2026 The Real Greek rescued by Cote Brasserie-owner

All but nine of the Mediterranean chain's 28 outlets are being taken over by the family-owned Karali group.

* The Real Greek restaurant chain was on the verge of collapse, but has been rescued after Karali Group bought 19 out of its 28 outlets.
* 358 jobs will be saved out of a total of 509.
* The remaining 9 sites are expected to close.
* The company's owner, Fulham Shore, said that the chain had suffered due to the economic downturn and high costs.
* The sale was made possible through a pre-pack administration deal, which allows the business to continue operating while also providing a fresh start.
* Fulham Shore will now focus on its Franco Manca chain, which has significant growth potential.
