A newly-published report suggests a moderate lifestyle in retirement costs £32,700 for one person and £45,400 for two.
* Only 23% of workers are on track to save enough for a "moderate" lifestyle in retirement, which costs £32,700 for one person and £45,400 for two.
* The minimum standard of living in retirement is estimated at £13,900 annually for a single person and £22,500 for two people.
* A comfortable lifestyle in retirement would cost £45,400 for a single person and £62,700 for a couple, but only 9% of workers are expected to reach this level.
* The report warns that too many people face a "cliff-edge drop" in income when they retire, with 82% of the working population on track to just meet the minimum standard.
