Discount website Wowcher has apologized for a marketing email that referenced a crocodile attack on a toddler at a zoo, after a three-year-old boy was attacked by a crocodile at Johnsons of Old Hurst zoo in Cambridgeshire. The email featured a subject line "Snap up these deals quicker than a croc can catch a kid!" which sparked outrage among customers who shared screenshots on social media. Wowcher said they were extremely sorry for the "unacceptable" wording and that it should never have been written or approved. They are reviewing their processes to prevent similar incidents in the future and have apologized to the child's family, who are going through a difficult time after the boy was pulled from the enclosure and taken to hospital.
