Thu, 25 Jun 2026 EasyJet rejects fourth takeover offer

The airline is questioning the "deliverability" of the offer.
EasyJet has rejected a fourth takeover bid from Castlelake worth £4.93 billion, saying it "substantially undervalues" the company and its prospects. The US investment firm offered £6.50 per share, compared to previous offers of £5.60, £6, and £6.25. EasyJet's board has given Castlelake until July 5th at 17:00 BST to make a firm offer or walk away. The airline has expressed concerns about the investor's ownership structure and ability to deliver on any deal, saying they would need "satisfactory assurances" before considering the bid.
