Food company Gousto says it is closing its warehouse in Spalding, Lincolnshire.
Gousto, a meal kit company with a warehouse in Lincolnshire, will close its Clay Lake unit, putting 290 jobs at risk. The company plans to centralize production at one site in Cheshire and reduce costs by ending operations in Lincolnshire. Gousto's founder and CEO, Timo Boldt, stated that the decision was "incredibly difficult" due to the impact on employees but necessary for the company's efficiency and competitiveness in a crowded market.
