Rubis and ATF Fuels both say they expect to see prices fall further in time.
Petrol prices have fallen by around 10p/litre since May, while diesel has seen an even bigger reduction of around 17p/litre, the biggest monthly fall in 26 years according to the RAC.
A spokesperson for Rubis said it expects further reductions to be passed on to customers if wholesale prices continue to fall.
ATF Fuels said that costs had been falling since March and April, but the cost of refined products such as diesel and petrol had been slower to drop due to infrastructure damage caused by the Iran war.
The Jersey Consumer Council has welcomed the price reduction, but encouraged islanders to "shop around" for the best deals.
