Tue, 07 Jul 2026 Volunteers racing to save surplus Silverstone food

A Towcester community larder is collecting produce from the circuit following the Grand Prix.
The larder has been working since Sunday to collect the surplus produce, with a membership scheme allowing people to buy discounted rates on the donated goods. Katie Steele, a volunteer, said they try to save as much food as possible from going to waste at the circuit. "When you've got that many people coming through the doors inevitably there is stuff that is destined for the bin, unless we can step in and rescue it."
