Fri, 10 Jul 2026 Man nearly sucked out of window mid-air on Ryanair plane, passengers say

The man's wife held onto his legs for around five minutes to stop him from being sucked out, officials say.

* The plane descended 9,000ft (2,700m) within 10 minutes of takeoff.
* A 61-year-old Serbian national was treated for friction burns at a Greek hospital after being pulled back into the cabin by his wife.
* Passengers reported hearing an "explosion" and seeing debris from the jet's engine smashing the window.
* The incident is currently under investigation by the Hellenic Air and Rail Safety Investigation Authority.
* A replacement aircraft was arranged to bring passengers to Memmingen several hours later.
