Fri, 10 Jul 2026 Vapes to have less enticing names to protect children, under UK plans

People are being consulted about plans to stop vape companies using of enticing flavour descriptions that "attract" children into experimenting.

* Plain packaging will be introduced, with limits on imagery and branding
* Names relating to confectionery, sweets, desserts, and alcohol will be banned
* Packaging will need to be bland, with no neon colors or cartoon images
* Flavor descriptions that appeal to children will be restricted
* Vapes will be moved out of sight in shops
* Inserts for cigarette packs will tell buyers where to get help to quit smoking
* All tobacco products, including cigarette rolling paper and cigars, will come in plain packaging
