Thu, 16 Jul 2026 Aer Lingus proposes cutting 500 jobs under savings plan

The company proposes cutting 290 roles in its head office, along with 140 cabin roles and 70 pilots.

* Discontinuing flights from Dublin to Denver, Minneapolis, Las Vegas, Split, and Frankfurt
* Making some routes seasonal (summer-only)
* Reducing the use of certain aircraft during peak summer periods Aer Lingus currently employs around 6,000 people. The airline says it aims to achieve a 12-15% operating margin to attract investment and secure its future.
