A White House staffer has been accused of using inside knowledge of speeches to make nearly $100,000 on Kalshi.
* A White House teleprompter operator, Gabriel Perez, has been put on unpaid leave after being accused of using inside information to place bets on President Donald Trump's speeches.
* Perez allegedly made nearly $100,000 in profits by betting on words Trump would use during major public addresses, including the State of the Union speech.
* The platform where the bets were placed, Kalshi, froze over $90,000 before it could be withdrawn and has handed evidence to regulators.
* The White House says President Trump is aware of the situation and that Perez will no longer work at the White House.
* Federal prosecutors in Manhattan have declined to open a criminal case against Perez.
