UK's largest fast-food chain says it is changing its menu "in line with changing tastes and trends".
* Greggs has reported a 20% rise in profit over the first half of the year, with total sales reaching £1.1 billion.
* The bakery chain's pivot towards healthier products and trendy drinks has contributed to its success, including high-protein salads and matcha-based items.
* Chief executive Roisin Currie said Greggs is "broadening and innovating our menu in line with changing tastes and trends".
* The company opened 34 new stores in the first half of 2026, bringing the total number of outlets to 2,773.
* More than half of the new openings were in areas without a Greggs store within a mile, with many located away from the High Street.
* Currie said that despite weight-loss drugs leading customers to seek "smaller portions", Greggs is seeing an increase in sales.
* The company has no plans for price rises after its breakfast, lunch and "big" deals went up in May.
* Analysts have praised Greggs' ability to adapt to changing consumer tastes and trends, but warn that investment in expanding the supply chain may weigh on profits.
