Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced plans to cut hundreds of jobs as part of its restructuring efforts following a cyber attack that brought production to a halt for several weeks in 2025. The company, which employs around 40,000 people globally, expects fewer than 300 colleagues to leave the firm under the new programme. Affected employees will be supported to find alternative roles or can opt for voluntary early exit. JLR's job losses are expected to affect salaried and management staff, not production line workers. The company is aiming to cut costs by £1.7 billion over several years as part of its recovery from the cyber attack, which cost an estimated £1.9 billion.
