Wed, 12 Aug 2026 Bakery buys comedian's former sites after closure

Bakery business Janes Pantry confirms its plans to reopen at least 20 of the Coughlans shops.

* Bakery business Janes Pantry plans to reopen 20 former Coughlan's Bakery shops
* Shops previously part-owned by Romesh Ranganathan will reopen under a new name after being sold
* Sites affected include Kent, Surrey, West Sussex and south London
* Former staff from Coughlans will be invited to reapply for roles at the reopened sites
* Other sites within the Coughlan's estate are subject to further discussions
* Janes Pantry first opened in Gloucester in 1971 and currently runs 12 shops employing over 100 staff
