A US coin commemorating President Donald Trump's presidency has been launched by the US Mint, marking the first time a living president has appeared on an American currency in 100 years. The $1 coin features a portrait of Trump alongside the phrase "In God we trust" and is part of a series celebrating America's 250th anniversary. The coins are available for purchase at $61 per roll of 25 or $154.50 per bag of 100, although they were sold out within hours of going on sale online. The US Mint claims that the coin is "a once-in-a-generation design" and a notable addition to modern collections. However, some have pointed out that the coin's creation may be in conflict with federal law barring the printing of US money with the image of a living person.
