Jersey charities say leaving donations in wills can be "transformational", regardless of how much.

* Research by 4insight found that 89% of respondents had given money in the previous 12 months, but younger people and lower-income households were less likely to have donated due to affordability being a key barrier.
* The chair of Jersey Fundraising Forum, Bethany Gallichan, said legacy gifts can help fund services for islanders struggling with the cost of living.
* John Michel from Jersey Trees for Life said it was "very special" to be left a legacy gift and that such donations made "a huge difference" to the charity.
* A law firm representative said leaving a legacy is "really easy" and that no gift is too small.
