The full pension rises by £734 a year, or about £14 a week, the Government of Jersey says.
* Jersey pensioners will receive a 4.7% increase in their old age pension, bringing the overall sum to £16,294 per year.
* The increase is an additional £734 per year or £14 per week for someone on a full pension.
* Minister for Social Security Senator Elaine Millar said that further support, including cold weather payments and free TV licences, would be available for those on low incomes.
* Additional help is also available through Pension Plus, the Health Access Scheme and the Cold Weather Bonus.
* The government aims to provide a strong foundation for old age and acknowledges that pensioners on lower incomes may face particular pressure from healthcare and heating costs.
