Fri, 02 Oct 2026 New free repair shop to launch in Oxford

Organisers hope the initiative will attract enough interest to continue on a monthly basis.
A repair shop will be set up at St Barnabas Primary School in Jericho, Oxford on Saturday from 10am-12pm. The shop will offer free repairs for bikes, electrical items, computers, and clothing. Organiser John Mair hopes to run the event monthly and is encouraging everyone to attend. Donations are welcome but not required. Mair started the repair shop after using a similar service in Wolvercote and bringing together local experts who can repair various items. The initiative aims to reduce waste by repairing rather than throwing away broken items.
