Restrictions are being put on products with high sugar, fat and salt content, but the meal deal lives on.
* Sugary soft drinks, biscuits, and some breakfast cereals can no longer be displayed in prominent positions in Scotland's supermarkets.
* Products high in fat, sugar, and salt, including chocolate, crisps, ice cream, and chewing gum, may also be affected.
* Businesses with over 50 employees, including supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, and petrol stations, must comply with the new regulations.
* Restrictions include:
+ No more prime end-of-aisle slots for unhealthy foods
+ Banned multi-buy offers, such as "buy one get one free" or loyalty points
+ Prohibited advertising of unhealthy foods on homepages and in-store promotions
+ No discounts that promote unhealthy products, but discounts like "half-price" are allowed.
* The regulations aim to encourage healthier eating choices by making unhealthy options less visible and appealing.
