Tue, 06 Oct 2026 What can I do to protect myself after 'Asos hacked' message?

Asos says people should not engage with the unauthorised notification and says it'll provide further information.

* Asos users in the UK received a suspicious push notification on Tuesday, claiming that hackers had compromised the company's Snowflake instance.
* The message included an external link and threatened to leak sensitive information if the company did not engage with them.
* Asos has confirmed that it took immediate action to restrict access and is working with authorities to investigate.
* The company believes that only "basic personal information" such as name and contact details may have been accessed, but no payment-card information or account passwords are thought to be at risk.
* Customers are advised not to click on the link, change their passwords, turn on two-step verification for important apps, monitor transactions, and be extremely suspicious of emails or messages claiming their account has been compromised.
