Mon, 12 Oct 2026 I earn £120,000 a year making social media videos go viral

Social media "clippers" make short, vertical videos that appear on the likes of Instagram and TikTok.

* Eknoor Singh, a 22-year-old Londoner, earns over £120,000 per year by creating short social media videos that go viral.
* He is a "clipper", hired by clients such as record labels, clothing brands and influencers to create vertical videos for platforms like Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
* Clippers can earn up to $3 (£2.30) per 1,000 views across platforms, making it a lucrative job if the clips go viral.
* Singh's most successful clip was of popstar Dua Lipa, which earned him $300 in a single post.
* He now earns at least £10,000 per month and can work from anywhere with just his mobile phone and internet connection.
* Other clippers, such as Ethan Weems from Kansas, also earn a decent income from the job, with Weems making at least $1,000 per month.
* However, social media consultant Lia Haberman warns that there are few successful clippers and most make little to nothing.
* Intermediary websites like Clipping Culture connect clients with potential clippers, and some companies have seen significant views on their clips.
