Sat, 24 Oct 2026 Charity expects demand for Christmas present campaign

The campaign, run by Little Stars, is running from today until 4 December.
A Shropshire charity, Little Stars, has launched its Santa's Little Stars campaign, which provides Christmas presents to struggling families. The campaign, now in its fifth year, runs from October 24th to December 4th and relies on donations of new, unwrapped toys and gifts. The charity expects a high demand for the campaign this year due to ongoing financial pressures faced by many families. Since its launch in 2020, Santa's Little Stars has given out over 8,000 presents to more than 2,100 children from birth to age 17, as well as pregnant women who are referred to the charity. Donations can be made at collection points outside The Collective, The Entertainer, Home Bargains, and Clarks Shoes in Shrewsbury's Darwin shopping centre. Last year was Little Stars' biggest campaign year to date, with demand expected to remain high this year.
